A profile of the members of our Board is as follows:
Celestine Ifeanyi Ohazurume – Chairman
Ifeanyi has acquired cognate experience spanning through banking, capital Market Operations and Portfolio Management. He has managed equity portfolio and Debt instrument of up to N10 Billion.
He has received extensive training in Nigeria and abroad in Credit Investment Analysis, Pension Management and Investment Banking, packaging and marketing of public issues and portfolio management.
He attended the Euro money training on African Stock Exchanges and Capital Markets in South Africa.
Ifeanyi started his career in Networth Securities Ltd, and later moved to former Nigeria Merchant Bank from where he joined International Capital Markets Group Ltd, in 1992. He was responsible for the setting up of ICMG Securities Ltd, and rose to the post of Head of Capital Markets and Stock broking.
He was appointed the Chief Operating Officer of LMB Stockbrokers Ltd, a subsidiary of Liberty Bank Plc in 1998 and was instrumental to the restructuring and refocusing of LMB Stockbrokers Ltd, and turning it to the path of profitability.
He also led the team that resuscitated and recapitalized First Equity Securities Ltd as the Managing Director / CEO from where he joined Diamond Bank Securities Ltd.
Mr. Ifeanyi Ohazurume holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Finance with special reference to Banking and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lagos. He is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, and Nigerian Institute of Pension Management.
His experience spans over investment analysis, packaging of new issues to Stock Exchange, capital restructuring, Mergers and Acquisition, portfolio management, business development and relationship management.
Innocent C. Ike - Director
Mr. Ike, a solid finance and banking professional, a Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), has a Bachelor of Science degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Accounting from the University of Lagos in 1988. Upon graduation, he joined the Deloitte Adetona Isichei & Co (Chartered Accountants), Lagos, and for four years at the firm, he worked in various capacities such as Audit Assistant, and Senior Audit responsible for the conduct of various accounting, audit and assignments for corporate clients.
He later left Deloitte Adetona & Isichei & Co to join Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, and between 1992 and 1998, he rose from the position of a Banking Officer to the position of Branch Manager. During this stint with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Mr. Ike worked in the following units of the bank; treasury, financial institutions, Operations, new technologies and bank branch management.
In September, 1998, Mr. Ike joined Equitorial Trust Bank Plc as the Principal Manager/Regional Manager (East). At this bank he was responsible for business development functions, Credit & Marketing, Supervision and Relationship Management within his assigned territory.
In September, 1999, he joined Fortune International Bank Plc where he held the following positions; General Manager (Commercial & Consumer Banking), Regional Manager (North Central), and Head (Commercial Banking Group).
Mr. Ike is currently a General Manager & Group Head, Commercial Banking SBU (Southern Nigeria). His key responsibilities include; Business development and liability generation in both Public and Private Sectors of the economy, Relationship management with high net-worth clients, executives of companies and parastatals, government functionaries, Credit evaluation, reviews and monitoring, General supervision and administration of profit centers/branches in the bank, including staff welfare and training, Market intelligence and peer comparison analysis of micro-economic variables, government policies and objectives as well as other developments that would affect the banking industry and the Nigerian economy, Supervises the preparation and presentation of the annual / periodic budget of various branches to the Board / Management of the Bank, ensures achievement of the agreed targets.
He brings this wealth of experience and professionalism to the service of the Board of Melborne Capital Ltd.
Aribo Olayato – Director
Aribo Olayato holds a Master of Science in Managerial Psychology and Master of Business Administration majoring in finance from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and University of Ibadan respectively. Aribo is a chartered Accountant (ACA) and an Associate member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (ACIB).
Aribo has over fifteen (15) years of quality experience in the Nigerian financial industry with expertise in treasury, international operations, branch management, supervising of marketing and business development of bank branches. He started his professional career in 1987 with First City Merchant Bank Ltd where he worked in the Domestic Operations Department, International Operations Department, and Information Technology Department and managed the preparation of returns to Central Bank of Nigeria. In 1991, Aribo proceeded to Intercontinental Merchant Bank Ltd where he supervised the International Operations Department, Treasury Operations Unit and CBN Returns unit. As a result of his resourcefulness, management and operations expertise he promoted to the position of Branch Manager in 1994 (Ikeja Area Office), where he managed day to day management and administration of the branch and overall responsibility for delivery of branch business objectives.
Aribo later left for Equity Bank of Nigeria Ltd in 1996, where as an Assistant General Manager, he became a member of the assets and liability committee, credit Committee and tender committee. Also, in his capacity as an Assistant General Manager his core duties included supervision of domestic operations department, International operations department and information technology department. As a result of his all round resourcefulness and sound professional competence he was promoted from reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services to reporting directly to the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of the bank.
Whilst at Equity Bank of Nigeria, Ltd, Aribo was promoted to the position of Regional General Manager (Eastern Region) in 2001, where he led the business development efforts and service expansion of the bank’s market share in the region. His professional success as General Manager (eastern region) made the bank to send him to become the Regional General Manager (North / Public Sector) in January, 2002 to supervise the marketing and business development of the branches in the North, and oversee the public sector department. He left the bank after a successful career to establish his own company in October, 2002.
Mr. Aribo is currently the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of Micmakin Nigeria Ltd. He co-ordinates the formulation, review and implementation of the company’s strategies, goals and objectives, and in addition, he ensures the continuous growth and profitability of the company.
Mr. Aribo is a fine professional driven by the highest ethical standards and best corporate practices. He brings these qualities to the service of Melborne Capital Ltd.

Okoro Cornelius Okwudili – Managing Director/CEO
Okoro has acquired vast banking experience spanning over Twenty (20) years in Nigeria. He has strong hands-on experience working with the strongest financial institutions, and has attended hundreds of top management trainings, seminars and conferences on investment and financial advisory services in Nigeria and Abroad.
He has managed over $10 billion in portfolio management in his career in the United States, and a total asset of $30 billion including equity and bond transactions.
He started his career in Nigeria Commerce and Industry Bank Plc. And later moved on to the Nigeria Dutusher Bank. He led the team that established the export in for the bank.
MR. Corlinus Okwudili Okoro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Alabama A&M University and masters in Business Administration from Morgan State University respectively all in United States of America. He is versed in packaging private and public, Portfolio Management and Business Development.
IBEAWUCHI – Head of Accounting
Ibeawuchi Emmanuel, a seasoned chartered accountant, obtained a
Higher National Diploma in Accounting from the Institute of Management and Technology
(IMT)Enugu. In the bid to equip himself to the challenges of his chosen career, he obtained an M.sc Degree in Economics from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigerian (ICAN).
Having worked in various sectors of the economy spanning from Agriculture, Manufacturing, Construction, legal to Stock broking, he has vast experience that equips him to stand tall to the competition that the Capital Market avails.
He is presently the Head of Accounts and Finance department in Melborne Capital Limited
Today, impact of his well read personality has immensely improved clients satisfaction rate.
Mr. Okafor Azubuike – G.M Marketing & Business Development
Azubuike obtained a bachelors degree from Texas Southern University, Houston United States of America in 1986 majoring in finance/ banking.
On completion of National Youth Service, he joined Commercial Trust Bank in October 1988 as an officer trainee and later became Aba branch manager in 1993 after which he was transferred to Onitsha where he assumed a higher responsibility.
By 1996, he assumed the position of Eastern Regional Manager.
Mr. Okafor Azubuike has developed several managerial principles in driving his organization to an enviable height. He initiated market segmentation
Broad lending to reach and satisfy the company’s vast clientele base.
He joined Melborne Capital Ltd. as the Head, Marketing and Business Development in 2008. His key responsibilities includes: business development relationship management, reviews and management of target figures/ market reports.
Mr. Njoku Henry – Head, Research & Wealth Creation
Henry, a researcher and analyst, has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Imo State University, Owerri.
He has worked with several research companies leaving undaunted pedigree. He also has good experience in insurance.
In the course of his duties as a journalist, Henry attended several seminars, workshops and other training programme in the capital market organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission and The Nigerian Stock Exchange.
He joined Melborne Capital Limited in January, 2008 as Head, Research and Wealth creation. His key responsibilities include; investment analysis, asset selection, portfolio management, preparation of capital markets reports, credit analysis, feasibility reports, strategic planning, and market intelligence
Mrs. Idehen Joy – Head, Operations/Admin.
Joy Idehen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos, a Diploma in Secretarial Studies (OND) 1996, and National Business Certificate in 1996.
She has over the years acquired special skills in in-house operations and procedural documentations for capital transactions.
She attended courses, seminars and workshop organized by the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Central Bank of Nigeria, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Joy Abieyuwa Idehen joined Melborne Capital Ltd as Admin Manager in May, 2007.
Her responsibilities also includes; customer relationship management, human resources administration, logistics and appointments handling, corporate communications and general office management. Supervision of the Operations Department (verification and transactionary activities), reconciliation of lists of transactions in the daily trade summary to those in the jobbing sheet and the Supervision of clients accounts update.
Vivian – Marketing Executive
Mrs. Obioha Vivian is a HND graduate of crop production technology. She is a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
She has had hands-on experience working as Marketing Executive with the following investment companies; Thomas Kingsley Securities Ltd (2002-2004), Summa Guaranty & Trust Co. Plc (2005-2006)
Mrs. Obioha Vivian joined the Marketing team of Melborne Capital Ltd in June 1, 2007. Her key responsibilities include; Business development, relationship management, investment analysis, financial advisory services, account development and retention.
Akanro, Abiodun Oduntan – Financial Controller
Mr. Akanro, a chartered Accountant by profession and a graduate of Accountancy, began his professional career with Paul & Co (Chartered Accountants) as a senior auditor (1996-1999), Assistant Manager, Sandra Chemical Corporation Ltd (2000-2001), Finance Manager, TPT International (2002-2003).
His last place of work before joining Melborne capital Ltd was at Integrated Trust & Investments Ltd (member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange) where he held the position of Manager, Corporate Finance (2003-2006.)
Mr. Akanro has vast experience in Financial Advisory services to many banks and insurance companies, and the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE). He actively participated in the following capital market operations: Mergers, and Acquisitions, Public offers, Rights issues, Private placements, Bond issues and the Federal Government Privatization programme.
Mr. Akanro, an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) brings this wealth of experiences to the services of Melborne Capital Ltd. He joined the company as the Financial Controller in June, 2007.
Ahmed M.Y (Engr) – Head, Information Technology Department
A Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Mr. Ahmed had his early education here in Lagos at Command Day Secondary School, Ojo, Lagos, before proceeding to Enugu State where he obtained his Higher National Diploma (HND), in Computer Science from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu.
Before now, he was a System Administrator with Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Lagos. He was a Network Engineer with Rainbow Net, Enugu, and an ISP Service Provider and afterwards moved to Lagos to become a System Analyst with a Consulting Company that deals with Financial Institutions.
Mr. Ahmed is a fellow of Computer Association of Nigeria (COAN), Society for Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and a fellow of Software Professional of Nigeria (SPN).
He joined Melborne Capital in May, 2007.
